Oriire Youth Council Extols Ex-Speaker Hon. Gunju Ojo, Council Chairman Hon. Olateju Micheal, Describes Them as Symbols of Hope

The Oriire Youth Council joins the good people of Oriire Local Government and Oyo State at large to celebrate two illustrious sons of our soil—Rt. Hon. Gunju Ojo, former Speaker of the 8th Oyo State House of Assembly, and Hon. Michael Alabi Olateju, the current Executive Chairman of Oriire Local Government, on the occasion of their birthday anniversaries today.

Rt. Hon. Gunju Ojo, who rose from Ahoro-Dada village in Ward 8 to become the Number 3 citizen of Oyo State during his time as Speaker, remains a beacon of hope to every youth in Oriire. Coming from a humble farming background like many of our parents, his story is a testimony that with resilience, focus, and the grace of God, every Oriire son and daughter can aspire to greatness in their chosen career. He continues to inspire us to believe that no dream is too high, and no background too low to rise.

On the other hand, Hon. Michael Alabi Olateju, the youthful Executive Chairman of our local government, has not only been leading from the front but has also stood as a dependable ally of the youths. His unwavering support for our ongoing PVC sensitization campaign across the 10 wards of Oriire has been exemplary. As the principal sponsor of the initiative, Hon. Olateju has mobilized us with a functional bus, daily fueling, and welfare support, making it possible for us to sustain this week-long civic engagement exercise. His commitment reflects the kind of responsive leadership our generation longs for.

As Oriire Youth Council, we celebrate these two leaders—not just for their birthdays, but for their roles as symbols of hope and pillars of support to the youths of Oriire. We pray that God Almighty blesses them with more years in good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments, so that their impact will continue to inspire and transform lives in Oriire and beyond.
