Just In: Olubadan, Other Oyo Traditional Leaders Meet Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday received a delegation of traditional rulers from Oyo State on a courtesy visit at the State House, Abuja.

The delegation was led by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, and comprised prominent monarchs and traditional leaders from across the state.

Among those in attendance were the Aare Ago of Ogbomosoland, the Osi Olubadan, the Balogun of Ibadanland, the Onigbeti of Igbeti, the Alajawa of Ajawa, the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, and the Aseyin of Iseyin.

Also present at the meeting were the President’s Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; the Minister of Power, Chief Joseph Tegbe; the Executive Chairman of the Nigerian Revenue Service, Dr. Zacch Adedeji; the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare; and renowned Ibadan businessman and Mogaji, Chief Wole Arisekola.

The courtesy visit underscored the enduring relationship between the Presidency and Nigeria’s traditional institutions, with discussions expected to focus on matters of national development, governance, and the continued progress of Oyo State and the country at large.
