2027: Ponmile Progressive Mobilization Ignites Ogbomoso with Massive APC Flag-Waving Bike Rally
The All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 election campaign in Oyo.State recieved a major boost on Thursday as the Ponmile Progressive Mobilization staged a Giant Flags Bike Rally to mobilize support for the candidates of the the political party in the ancient town of Ogbomoso.
The rally, an initiative of Hon. Ponmile Omidiji, with the theme “Mobilizing for All Progressives Congress (APC)”, covered major routes and communities across Ogbomoso North and Ogbomoso South Local Government Areas.
The exercise, coordinated by Chief Hon. Comrade Anuoluwani Omidiji, featured a well-coordinated procession of motorcycles displaying APC flags, campaign photographs and inscriptions celebrating the party’s leaders and candidates.
Prominently featured were President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the proposed APC governorship candidate, Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, the proposed deputy governorship candidate, Adesoji Adedeji, and the proposed senatorial candidate, Hon. Hannah Ogunesan.
A major highlight of the rally was the inscription: “VOTE ALLISOJI 2027 IS A VOTE FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTONOMY IN OYO STATE.”
The campaign also featured the distribution of branded items, including bags, face caps and T-shirts, as part of efforts to encourage grassroots participation and strengthen engagement with residents.
According to the organizers, the Giant Flags Bike Rally is a strategic grassroots mobilisation initiative designed to achieve maximum community penetration within a short period.
They noted that motorcycles offer practical advantages, including the ability to cover longer distances, access to narrow streets and inner communities, ease of parking, direct engagement with residents, and greater visibility through prominently displayed party flags and messages.
Throughout the rally, residents trooped out to witness the colourful procession, interact with the mobilisation team and receive campaign materials.
Speaking on the initiative, the Oyo State Coordinator of Ponmile Progressive Mobilization reaffirmed the group’s commitment to sustaining grassroots political engagement across Ogbomoso and its environs.
He assured party stakeholders, supporters and residents that more strategic mobilisation activities, community engagements and innovative grassroots initiatives would be rolled out before, during and after the 2027 elections.
“Our commitment is to take the APC message to every ward, community, street and household through peaceful, organised and people-oriented mobilisation. Ponmile Progressive Mobilization is not just about displaying party flags; it is about building connections and strengthening grassroots participation,” he said.
