Hon. Tolani Adigun Condemns Kidnapping of Hon. Wale Oriade, Urges Security Agencies to Intensify Rescue Efforts
Hon. Tolani Adigun, a prominent political figure from Ibadan South-West Constituency 1, has expressed deep distress over the kidnapping of Hon. Wale Oriade, describing the incident as “unacceptable” and a painful reminder of the worsening insecurity confronting the nation.
In a statement made available to newsmen, Hon. Tolani condemned the abduction in strong terms and called on all security agencies—both at the state and federal levels—to act decisively and deploy every necessary resource to ensure the immediate and safe rescue of Hon. Oriade.
She stressed that criminal activities must not be allowed to take root in Oyo State, emphasizing the urgent need to strengthen the state’s security architecture, enhance intelligence sharing, and safeguard the lives and property of all residents.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Hon. Oriade’s family during this difficult time,” Hon. Tolani said, urging residents and party members to remain calm as security operatives intensify efforts to secure his release.
Hon. Tolani further appealed to security formations to treat the matter with utmost urgency, reiterating that Oyo State “must not be surrendered to criminals.”
She prayed for the safe return of Hon. Oriade, asking Almighty Allah to protect him and bring him home safely.
