In the dynamic political landscape of Oyo State, a new wave of credible, passionate, and grassroots-driven leadership is emerging. Among these is Hon. Daniel Olusayo Bibiire, a son of the soil whose commitment to education, youth development, and sustainable community growth sets him apart as a worthy aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly seat representing Ogbomoso South under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

A Foundation Rooted in Excellence

Born and bred in the heart of Ogbomoso, Hon. Bibiire’s journey began with the unwavering support of his parents, who quickly identified his love for learning. He commenced his academic journey at the Methodist (Special) Primary School, Arowomole, Ogbomoso, where his dedication and punctuality earned him a prefectship. By 1995, he had completed his First School Leaving Certificate with distinction.

His secondary education saw him first at Ogbomoso Baptist High School, then transitioning to the prestigious School of Science, Ogbomoso (SOSO), a move driven by his growing interest in science and technology. There, he held leadership positions including leader of the Jet Club and a school prefect, demonstrating not only academic brilliance but also a strong inclination for leadership.

Rising Through the Ranks of Student Leadership

Hon. Bibiire’s thirst for knowledge and community involvement led him to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), where he studied Urban and Regional Planning. It was at LAUTECH that his leadership journey blossomed further. He served as the Deputy Senate President of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences Students Association, and as Secretary General of both the Federation of Ogbomoso Students Union (FOGSU-LAUTECH Chapter) and the Urban and Regional Planning Students Association (UREPSA).

As a student-instructor in the university’s Geographic Information System (GIS) Laboratory, he was known for his technical prowess and served as a consultant to both lecturers and peers — further cementing his status us as an ICT wizard and forward-thinking leader.

From the Classroom to the Community

Following his graduation in 2008, Hon. Bibiire was posted to Katsina Town for the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), where he taught Geography in a government secondary school. This experience enriched his perspective on national unity, rural development, and the transformative power of education.
