Re: Alli has nothing to offer: A Delusional Opinion Of The APM And Its Spokesperson | Sola Abegunde
I was seriously amused by the absurd opinion of Governor Seyi Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, regarding the All Progressives Congress, APC Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Alli’s non appearance on National Television and domestic Radio stations.
Sulaimon Olanrewaju is also the Director of Media for the Seyi Makinde and Bimbo Adekambi campaign organization.
According to Sulaimon Olanrewaju, who is also a Pastor and PhD holder, Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli has nothing to offer the good people of Oyo state, because he has not appeared on National Television and state broadcasting houses to present his agenda for 2027.
In the first instance, Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli was the first Gubernatorial candidate to present his agenda to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo state chapter, many months ago and the program had in attendance, print, online and television personnel and it was well aired. So, I don’t understand where Olanrewaju is coming from.
Secondly, I am not aware that Sulaimon Olanrewaju has a Radio or Television station where Senator Sarafadeen Alli was invited and he declined invitation.
I am also not aware that by October, when the Gubernatorial election of 2027 is three months plus away, it is already late for Senator Sarafadeen Alli to grant Radio and Television interviews.
I know that Sulaimon Olanrewaju and others who have been appointed as the Media Team for Seyi Makinde and Bimbo Adekambi have become so idle.
How do you sell a presidential candidate whose campaign is based on the ability to jump from one place to the other, who is also making controversial statements or a Gubernatorial candidate who is so filled with bitterness to the extent that he keeps making things worse every day?
However, even at that, is silence not a better option?
For the information of Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the Allied People’s Movement, APM and other Busy Bodies, the APC and all its candidates are very methodical in the way they are handling this campaign.
Early next week, the program for the unveiling of Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli’s manifesto would be held and that program is coming up after series of engagements and notes taking from relevant stakeholders across the state.
The rots created by the outgoing Government of Seyi Makinde are just too much and the manifesto of Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli will take care of all the concerns raised by the citizens of Oyo state.
We will not be distracted by clowns.
If the APM thinks that what is on ground calls for showmanship alone, congratulations to them.
We see the crisis across several sectors as one that requires seriousness of purpose and a well thought out plan to save Oyo state from vampires who have sucked the 33 Local Governments dry.
We are dedicated to delivering the state from those who have continued to sell off our common assets, like the Biblical prodigal son.
We have scratched our heads and came up with a perfect plan which will assist the incoming Government of Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli to navigate the heavy burden of indebtedness caused by Makinde.
So, where is the time for showmanship?
Does it not stand logic on its head that a sensible human being would even think that someone of Senator Alli’s stature will be shying away from Radio and Television appearances?
For all intents and purposes, this man is not only a Lawyer, he is also a sitting Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a PhD holder.
I am also surprised that a Sulaimon Olanrewaju who has been running away from sharing the microphone with a little me, would have the mouth to say someone is running away from Radio and Television appearances.
By the time Senator Sarafadeen Alli hits the airwaves, I don’t know what these indolent fellows would be saying again.
By the way, since Bimbo Adekambi and Seyi Makinde have been going from one Radio and Television appearances to the other, what sense have they made of their appearances?
Awon onkatikati.
Sola Abegunde.
