Oriire Adoption: “I am in my place, not arrested” Elesin-ele

The Eleshi Ele of Esiele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, Oba Tajudeen Abioye, has denied reports alleging that he was arrested in connection with ongoing investigations into the recent abduction of pupils, students, and teachers in the area.

The denial comes amid circulating reports claiming that the traditional ruler had been taken into custody by security operatives over alleged links to individuals suspected of involvement in the school abduction that affected communities around Ahoro-Esiele, Yawota, and neighbouring settlements.

The reports emerged weeks after armed kidnappers attacked schools within Oriire Local Government Area, abducting several pupils, students, and education personnel in an incident that drew widespread condemnation across Oyo State and beyond.
