Lagelu Local Government Chairman’s Radio Interview: When A Drunkard Meets A Hypocrite | Sola Abegunde

I listened to the interview granted by the pretender, Kamorudeen Mudasiru on a Radio station in Ibadan this morning.

Kamorudeen Mudasiru is the pretender, calling himself the Chairman of Lagelu Local Government of Oyo state.

Naturally, I do not bother myself with whatever is said or done on the particular program where the fellow, Kamorudeen was guest except, if the anchor of the program does or says anything that is injurious to my political interests.

This morning, Kamorudeen Mudasiru caught my interest when he started acting like a drunken boy on Radio.

While rounding up his submission and trying to justify his role as a puppet in Lagelu Local Government, the slavish fellow referred to those who have been campaigning in favor of a financially autonomous Local Governments as mad people.

Let me quote him verbatim, so that when I descend on the ill mannered young boy, you will understand the reason behind my anger.

He said and I quote, “…. local government tawa nse, kii se local government tawon were yen npariwo”. ( The Local Government we operate is not the one those mad fellows are preaching). Those were his exact words.

I was told that the drunkard is below 40 years of age, but that shouldn’t be an excuse for him to be stupidly reckless.

You will note that the All Progressives Congress, APC and its Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli has prioritized freedom for Local Governments and he has been so committed to ensuring that the 33 Local Governments are financially autonomous from the first day of his Administration.

So, when the unbridled young boy was saying, ” tawon were yen npariwo…”, you should know what he meant.

He had made a few insulting comments about Senator Alli, by implications, before he totally lost his head and started talking about mad people.

I have been saying it, a lot of people in the APM really need to go visit a psychiatrist.

The way they have been overreacting these days should be a matter of concerns to those who are close to them.

When they made it their routine to be dancing to the lyrics of ” were la fi nwo were”, I cautioned them.

When you wake up in the morning and all you do throughout the day was to listen and dance to the lyrics of a song that speaks about madness, how long is it going to be before you begin to act irrationally?

I will not do the public any good, if I just deal with the stupidity of the young man, without taking him up on his belief that the 33 Local Governments are better run under the current Gbewudani arrangements.

During the interview, he outlined series of projects as his achievements within two years and four months.

Now, I want him to go back to the same Radio station and answer these questions:

How much has he received as monthly allocations, Internally Generated Revenues, IGR, Value Added Tax, Vat and Excess Crude payments since he became Chairman over two years ago?

What is the monthly wage bill for Lagelu Local Government?

What are the identities of the Contractors who handled the various contracts for the projects he mentioned on Radio this morning?

Who engaged the contractors and what is the breakdown of the cost for each of the projects?

Where is the minutes of the Exco meeting he presided over as chairman of Lagelu Local Government, where the projects in question were discussed and approved?

Who signed the contract agreements with the contractors and where are the copies?

The motor park at General Gas, which was constructed by Lagelu Local Government for a sum of 1.4bn, who is the contractor that handled the project and what is Seye Famojuro’s connection with the contractor?

I am happy that the birthday boy brought him to be exposed today.

That reckless fellow, it has been alleged, has built several houses, numbering about four within the short period he he became Chairman.

He is also been alleged to have built a shopping complex in Akobo.

I know the relationship between him and Seye Famojuro and bringing him this morning, helps me a lot.

He has provided me with further vital information and he will hear from the appropriate Anti-corruption Agencies very soon.

Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

It is too late in the day for the Makinde Government to convince the people of Oyo state to embrace the shenanigans of his Government in the past seven years plus.

Oyo has embraced the hope of a financially independent Local Governments as is being promised by Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli and Lilliputians like Kamorudeen Mudasiru can not change the decision of the people through their myopic reasoning.

Sola Abegunde.
