Ogbomoso North Assembly: Sayo Owolabi Appreciates Supporters, Affirms Loyalty to Party Supremacy

COMMUNIQUÉ ON MY RESOLUTION TO SUBMIT TO PARTY SUPREMACY AND UNITY IN THE INTEREST OF APC

Party Elders, Stakeholders, and
The Good People of Ogbomoso North State Constituency
Since 2019, and through the 2023 political cycle to this present moment in 2026, I, Owolabi Sayo Peter, have consistently presented myself as an aspirant for the Ogbomoso North State Constituency seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly. Throughout this journey, my commitment to the ideals, growth, and victory of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, has remained unwavering.
As a loyal party man, I have always believed in the principle of party supremacy and the authority of constituted leadership. It was in this spirit that I aligned with the directive of the party leadership in 2019, and again in 2023, when I willingly stepped down and threw my full weight behind the party’s flagbearer. My actions were guided by discipline, loyalty, and the conviction that no personal ambition is greater than the collective interest of APC.
The 2026 political season has, however, come with its peculiar challenges. The re-emergence of candidate imposition has weakened the internal democratic process, making it difficult for registered party members to freely determine their true representatives. It is disheartening that the voice of the grassroots is being silenced and the aspirations of loyal party men who have invested time, resources and sleepless nights are being undermined.
Despite the pains of this reality and despite the sacrifices made by my team and the millions invested in building a formidable political structure under *THE OWOLABI’S GROUP, I have chosen, in the greater interest of peace, unity, and party cohesion, to submit to the supremacy of the party and accept the decision of the leadership.
This decision is not born out of weakness, but out of my deep love for the progressive ideals of the APC and my unshakeable belief that the party remains the best vehicle to deliver good governance to the people of Ogbomoso North and Oyo State at large. I will not abandon the party because of temporary challenges. Rather, I pledge to deploy all my political structure, experience, and resources to ensure that APC emerges victorious in the 2027 general elections.
To all aggrieved members and supporters, I appeal to us to sheath our swords, close ranks, and unite behind all our duly recognized candidates. APC is our home, and together we can strengthen it, reposition it, and secure victory for the benefit of our people.
In conclusion, I wish the All Progressives Congress a successful and resounding victory in the 2027 general elections, by the grace of God.

Long live Oyo State!
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
