HON. DANIEL OLUSAYO OYELOLA (MNITP/RTP) (a.k.a BIBIIRE)
Oyo State House of Assembly Hopeful who’s also the
President/Founder OLUSAYO BIBIIRE FOUNDATION (an NGO in Ogbomoso and Abuja)
EARLY LIFE
DANIEL OLUSAYO OYELOLA, as the name connotes is not just a mere ‘son
of the soil’, but more so, a ‘Prince of Ogbomoso land’, from Oniyeye’s lineage of
the Alaasa Royal Dynasty of the Soun of Ogbomoso Land, Oyo State. He is dual
privileged, as his mother is also from Aaremole compound of Oja-Igbo, Ogbomoso.
Olusayo was born few decades ago into the industrious family of Pa. M. O. and
Madam F. S. Oyelola, adding to the number of their God-given gifts.
*BIBIIRE can indeed be said to be ‘born-and-bred’ in Ogbomoso, as he was not only
raised in the town, but as well had considerable western education in Ogbomoso
land. In his early life, his parents discovered his unflinching passion for education,
therefore did not hesitate to register him for his Primary Education at the Methodist
(Special) Primary School, Arowomole, Ogbomoso, where he became a punctuality
prefect before he later obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1995. As a
brilliant and promising pupil, the young Olusayo graduated with excellence, and
recorded same in the Common Entrance Examination. He then proceeded the same
year to the Ogbomoso Baptist High School. Daniel’s quest for specialization in
Science Education made him seek a transfer from the school after the successful
completion of the Junior Secondary School, and proceeded to the prestigious School
of Science Ogbomoso (SOSO), having passed the prescribed Entrance Exam at a
seating. Oyelola did not only bag his Senior School Certificate from ‘The School of
Science’, his leadership charisma was again brought to the fore as he was the leader
of the Jet Club, and a prefect in the school. Oyelola’s interpersonal talent made him
to be a friend of all and a bridge among colleagues and teachers.
ACADEMIC AND LEADERSHIP BACKGROUND
The ever aspiring and non-relenting Olusayo would not stop at that, hence his
admission to study Urban and Regional Planning at the ‘Heritage University’, the
Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso in 2003.
Before his graduation at the set-time in 2008, Innocent-Sayour, as popularly called
by his admirers did not only pass through the citadel of learning, but informed an
impacting passage in LAUTECH. While a student in LAUTECH, he was the Deputy
Senate President (DSP) of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences Students
Association (2003-2004) where he earned the appellation of DSP.
*As a typical son of the soil that would never hide his identity, he was elected the
Secretary General, Federation of Ogbomoso Students Union (FOGSU)–LAUTECH
Chapter (2004-2005); and thereafter became the Secretary General, Urban and
Regional Planning Students Association (UREPSA) (2005-2006), before he became
a pioneering student-instructor in the Geographic Information System (GIS)
Laboratory of his Department, where he even became a consultant for his colleagues
and lecturers till his graduation at the stipulated time in 2008.
*When Ogbomoso would release this ICT Wizard to the larger society, he had his
mandatory NYSC assignment in Katsina State (Katsina Town to be precise) from
2009 to 2010, where he taught Geography at his assigned Government Secondary
School.
He would still do what he loves doing best with oversight supervisory function of
the ZOBE Dam Project Work, in Katsina State. His passion for Community
Development saw him to become the Registrar of the Katsina State NYSC Road
Safety Club. He was also a devoted member of the Nigerian Christian Corper’s
Fellowship, Katsina State (NCCF), where he was a member of the Technical and
Organizing Crew and also FATHER OF ABUNDANCE as fondly call by
Memebers/Corpers in the lodge.
PROFESSIONAL LIFE
Immediately after the mandatory national youth service, Olusayo was employed as
a Town Planning Officer II by City Planners and Managers Ltd in the course of the
Telecom Masts and Tower Audit consultancy job in Niger State (Niger State Urban
Development Board) from 2010 to 2011. He was later engaged partly in 2011 by the
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Niger State (Alawa Ward in
Shiroro Local Government) as a Registration Area Center Officer (RACO) for the
then Voter Registration Exercise.
Then, he was engaged as a Town Planning Officer I with City Planners and
Managers Ltd., Abuja from 2010 to 2013. He was with the Space in the City Consults
Ltd, Abuja since 2013 till 2015 as Executive Senior Planning Officer, while he was
the Project Coordinator for Telecom Masts and Gantry Audit in Nasarawa State for
a year. Amongst others, he was also the Client Service and Operation Manager for
Absolute Outdoor Advertising Limited in Abuja within the same year.
In 2013, Oyelola was successfully admitted into the Corporate Membership of the
Nigeria Institute of Town Planners (MNITP), and in the same year, he went ahead
for his professional registration with the Town Planners Registration Council
(TOPREC) of Nigeria.
He is Full Member Institute of Disaster Management and Safety Science (2021) and an Associate
Member of Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON)-ARPA (2022).
Olusayo’s professional zeal as a Registered/Chartered Town and City Planner made
him to registered a Physical Planning Consulting Firm, New Dawn City
Transformers Consult Limited in 2013 with its office headquarter in eye brow area
of Abuja and Ogbomoso which has made him contributed to many development
plans amongst the recent is Master Plan of Nigerian Army University, Biu, Borno
State-2017 to 2019, Ilorin New City, 2024-2025, and Enugu New Town, 2024-2025.
COMMUNITY BUILDING
He is the President/Founder OLUSAYO BIBIIRE FOUNDATION (an NGO in
Ogbomoso and Abuja). Through this initiative, he has facilitated trainings and
empowerment programmes for women and children, especially the less privileged
across Ogbomoso land. He has distributed educational materials and afforded free
tutorial trainings for young students in various JAMB, WAEC, NECO and IJMB
tutorial centers. In various ways he has contributed to the sports activities of the
valiant land with his strong support and die-hard fan spirit for Crown Football Club
(Ajilete Worrior) always.
BIBIIRE has been involved in Physical Planning and Community Development for
years, He possesses state-of-the-art skills in his field and related disciplines. He is a
man of proven honesty, integrity, transparency and intercultural relationship. He is
not a man without a playtime, he engages in research, meeting people, indoor games,
travelling and reading in his leisure.
POLITICAL CAREER
BIBIIRE passion to serve the people of valiant land has made him to join the
political gladiators in Ogbomoso year’s back which has seen him vying for the post
of Honorable Member, Oyo State House of Assembly in Ogbomoso South
Constituency.
WHY SHOULD HE BE BIBIIRE?
He is an inexorable icon. Olusayo is different and he’s with the bulging muscles
and the habit of flexing them to bring desirable change to the people of Ogbomoso
Land. He’s amongst those who are turning the irksome situation of Ogbomoso land
over. He is friendly, urbane, sincere and has the right balance between standing up
for principles and the need for compromise. He shares genuine comradeship with
the youths of Ogbomoso. He is presently the youngest amongst the Life Patron of
FOGSU University of Abuja chapter.
FAMILY STRUCTURE
A devoted Christian, Cheerful giver and lover of things of God is happily Marrried to Mrs. Taiwo
OYELOLA and the Union is Blessed with Kids – Daniel OYELOLA (Snr) and David OYELOLA
He is Full Member Institute of Disaster Management and Safety Science (2021) and an Associate
Member of Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON)-ARPA (2022).
Honorable Daniel Olusayo Bibiire was the Vice president for SOSO Alumni National Body (2019-2022) and also the Vice President 2024-till date.
Chairman 2001 Set SOSO Alumni-25th Anniversary amongst other.
