The Ogbomoso South State House of Assembly hopeful, Hon. Olusayo Daniel Oyelola, popularly known as Bibiire, has laid his late father, Pa Moses Oyelola, to rest amid an atmosphere of gratitude, unity, and celebration of a life well lived.
The final burial ceremony, held yesterday at the popular Arowomole Primary School, Ogbomoso, drew a large and diverse gathering of family members, friends, well-wishers, community leaders, and political associates from within and outside Ogbomoso.
Despite the solemnity of the occasion, the event reflected the values of love, communal support, and thanksgiving, as attendees turned out in their numbers to honour the memory of Pa Moses Oyelola and stand in solidarity with the Oyelola family.
Hon. Oyelola, visibly moved by the overwhelming turnout, described the presence of guests as deeply comforting and invaluable. He expressed heartfelt appreciation to all who honoured the family with their attendance, prayers, emotional support, and various forms of assistance before, during, and after the burial rites.
“I am sincerely grateful to everyone who stood by us at this difficult time,” Hon. Bibiire said. “Your presence, words of encouragement, prayers, and support in all forms strengthened us and gave us the courage to celebrate my father’s life with gratitude rather than sorrow.”
He further noted that the show of love reaffirmed the enduring spirit of unity and compassion that defines the Ogbomoso community, adding that his late father lived a life rooted in humility, integrity, and service to humanity—values he hopes to continue to uphold.
The burial ceremony concluded peacefully, leaving many attendees with fond memories of Pa Moses Oyelola and a renewed sense of communal bond, as the family thanked God for a successful and dignified farewell.
