Eid-el-Maulud: Hon. Tolani Adigun Calls for Unity, Peaceful Coexistence
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ibadan South-West Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Tolani Adigun, has called for renewed commitment to peace, unity, compassion and peaceful coexistence as Muslim faithful celebrate Eid-il-Moulid, commemorating the birth of the noble Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In her goodwill message, Hon. Tolani Adigun congratulated Muslim faithful across Ibadan South-West, Oyo State and Nigeria, urging them to use the occasion to reflect on the enduring lessons contained in the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet.
She noted that the Prophet Muhammad’s exemplary virtues of humility, love, compassion, tolerance and peaceful coexistence remain relevant to contemporary society, particularly in strengthening unity and fostering understanding among citizens.
According to her, the significance of Eid-il-Moulid goes beyond celebration, as it provides an opportunity for Muslims to renew their commitment to values that promote peace, justice, kindness and harmonious living.
She therefore encouraged Nigerians to reject division and intolerance while embracing dialogue, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence as essential ingredients for sustainable development.
Hon. Tolani Adigun also prayed for divine blessings upon Muslim families and communities, expressing hope that the celebration would usher in peace in homes, progress in communities and greater prosperity across the nation.
She concluded by wishing Muslim faithful and their families a joyous, peaceful and spiritually fulfilling Eid-il-Moulid celebration.
“May the life, teachings, humility, peace, love and compassion of the Holy Prophet continue to inspire us to live together in unity and harmony. Eid-il-Moulid Mubarak to you and your families,” she said.
