Oranmiyan Prince Adedamola Olaniyan Facilitates FG Solar Streetlight Project in Oko

Excitement has continued to spread across Oko town following the commencement of the installation of over 100 solar-powered streetlights facilitated by an Oranmiyan Prince, Ọmọ-ọba Adedamola Olaniyan, as part of efforts aimed at improving infrastructure and security within the community.

The project, which is a Federal Government intervention project facilitated by Ọmọ-ọba Adedamola Olaniyan, is currently ongoing in several strategic areas of the town and is expected to significantly improve night-time visibility, security, and commercial activities in Oko upon completion.

Speaking during the groundbreaking and inspection of the ongoing installation, Ọmọ-ọba Adedamola Olaniyan clarified that although the project is a Federal Government initiative, its facilitation was made possible through his personal commitment to the development of his hometown and not through any politician or political office holder.

According to him, “This project is being facilitated within my own capacity as a son of the soil who genuinely desires the development and progress of Oko town. Though it is a Federal Government project, it has nothing to do with politics and was not done through any politician. My passion is simply to give back to the society that produced and raised me.”

He further disclosed that the ongoing installation covers over 100 solar-powered streetlights, assuring residents that more developmental projects and additional streetlights are still coming to the town in the near future.

Ọmọ-ọba Adedamola also assured the people that the project would be fully completed within the next few weeks for the benefit of all and sundry in Oko community.

Residents and community stakeholders have since commended the initiative, describing it as a laudable and impactful development that would greatly improve security and enhance the socio-economic activities of the town, especially during the night hours.

Many residents noted that the project reflects a strong commitment to grassroots development and community service, while expressing optimism that the completion of the streetlight installations would usher in a new phase of progress for Oko town.
