The Oyo State APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Hon. Adesoji Adedeji Michael, popularly known as IBA AGBA, has joined the people of Ogbomoso in celebrating His Imperial Majesty, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye, Orumogege III, the Soun of Ogbomoso Land, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
In a congratulatory message, Hon. Adedeji described the milestone as a celebration not merely of age, but of a life enriched by leadership, wisdom, service and an enduring commitment to the preservation of the cultural identity and heritage of Ogbomoso.
He said the Soun’s reign has continued to occupy a significant place in the history and contemporary development of Ogbomoso, with the monarch serving as a symbol of unity and a custodian of the traditions, values and aspirations of his people.
According to him, the birthday provides an opportunity for the people of Ogbomoso to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of the revered monarch to the peace, cohesion and progress of the ancient city.
Hon. Adedeji joined the royal family, traditional institutions, indigenes of Ogbomoso and well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond in offering prayers and goodwill to the monarch.
He prayed that Almighty God would continue to preserve the Soun in sound health, wisdom and strength, while granting him many more years of purposeful and impactful service to Ogbomoso Land and humanity.
“On this auspicious occasion of Your Imperial Majesty’s 65th birthday, I celebrate not only the monarch, but also the institution and heritage you represent. May your reign continue to be distinguished by peace, prosperity, unity and enduring accomplishments,” he said.
He also prayed for the continued peace and prosperity of Ogbomoso, expressing optimism that the city would continue to witness greater development and cohesion under the leadership of its traditional institution.
