“Run an Inclusive Administration to Put Oriire on the Right Track – Oriire Youth Council Tasks New PDP Chair, Hon. Oyelade Oloya”

The Oriire Youth Council (OYC) has congratulated Hon. Oyelade Gabriel Olatunde, popularly known as Tunde Oloya, on his election as the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oriire Local Government Area.Hon. Oloya, a seasoned politician, emerged victorious at the congress elections, with ‎Alao Azeez Babatunde elected as his Vice Chairman.OYC described Oloya’s victory as “well-deserved,” citing his political pedigree and long-standing service to Oriire since the inception of the Fourth Republic. His political journey dates back to his tenure as Councillor representing Ward 2, through his service as Special Assistant on Political Matters to Hon. Ajani Oyedepo (then Oriire LG Chairman), and his role as a board member at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital.Speaking on behalf of the council, National Chairman of OYC, Sarafadeen Isiaq Owonikoko, noted: “Hon. Oloya’s consistency in public service reflects his deep understanding of Oriire’s agelong challenges and his commitment to the people. We congratulate him on this new assignment and charge him to chart a new course for the progress of not just the PDP in Oriire, but the entire local government.”National PRO of OYC, Ajadi Isaac Oluwasegun, stressed the importance of political inclusion for Oriire in the state administration, saying: “Despite PDP being the ruling party in Oyo State, Oriire has suffered neglect, with no commissioner, agency head, special adviser, or assistant appointed from our council area. We task Hon. Oloya to genuinely lobby and advocate so that by the next administration in June 2027, Oriire will not be left behind again.”Ex-Officio I of OYC and Member representing Oriire Youths at the Oyo State Youth Parliament, Joshua Ojo Aderemi, highlighted the urgency of infrastructural and socio-economic turnaround: “If we secure more representation for Oriire at state and federal levels, our leaders will be able to jointly facilitate overdue public infrastructure — good roads, electricity, water — while creating enabling environments for businesses to thrive. This will also help curb rural-to-urban migration of our youths and provide employment opportunities for our graduates roaming without engagement.”OYC also extended best wishes to Hon. Oloya for sound health, wisdom, and long life to lead PDP in Oriire effectively. The council further appealed for his cooperation in working with traditional, religious, and political leaders, alongside OYC, in driving development initiatives for Oriire.
