FOGSU Kwara Poly Honours Hon. Olushayo Bibiire, Describes Him as “An Outstanding Political Icon of the Year”

The Federation of Ogbomoso Students’ Union (FOGSU), Kwara State Polytechnic chapter, has honoured Hon. Olushayo Bibiire with a prestigious award, recognizing him as “An Outstanding Political Icon of the Year.”

The honour was presented during the union’s annual cultural fiesta, popularly known as “Gbegiri Day,” held at the Ogbomoso Town Hall, Ojagbo. The colourful event brought together students, community leaders, and stakeholders to celebrate culture, unity, and impactful leadership.

While presenting the award, student leaders described Hon. Bibiire as an “epitome of empowerment” whose contributions to student development and scholarship have left an indelible mark. They commended his consistent support for education and youth empowerment, stressing that his efforts have inspired hope among students across Ogbomoso.

“Hon. Bibiire’s impact on students is unquantifiable. His scholarship drives, mentorship, and encouragement towards academic excellence have made him a pillar of support for the younger generation,” one of the student leaders remarked.

In a show of solidarity, the students also pledged their support for his political ambition to represent the good people of Ogbomoso South in the Oyo State House of Assembly come 2027, affirming that his track record of service has earned him their trust.

The award, according to the organizers, is not only a recognition of past efforts but also a call for more collaboration between political leaders and students in building a progressive society.
