Meet TPL (Dr.) Adesokan Samuel Adelodun, Ibarapa East Assembly Hopeful
Tpl. (Dr.) Adesokan Samuel Adelodun hails from the Adesokan family of Isale Togun, Lanlate, Ibarapa East Local Government of Oyo State, with ancestral roots in the Royal Abiodun Alaafin lineage of the ancient Oyo Empire.
Education
He holds an ND (Upper Credit) and HND (Distinction – Overall Best Graduating Student) in Urban and Regional Planning from Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Managerial Psychology from the University of Ibadan, a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning, an LL.B (Hons) from International University, Bamenda (Cameroon), and a B.Sc (Second Class Upper) in Urban and Regional Planning from Lead City University, Ibadan.
He just recently completedan M.Sc in Urban and Regional Planning at Lead City University and a Barrister-at-Law (B.L) qualification at the Nigerian Law School.
Professional Profile
A Registered Town Planner (RTP), he is a Full Member of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (MNITP) and holds memberships/fellowships in several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Contract, Project and Facility Management, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of Nigeria, and Mediation Training Institute of Nigeria.
He is a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Ibadan City Central.

Leadership & Politics
He has served as Vice Chairman and Public Relations Secretary of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (Oyo State Chapter).
Politically, he contested as an aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly (Ibarapa East Constituency) in 2019 (ADC) and 2022 (APC), stepping down both times in party and community interest. He also served as Assistant Secretary (INEC & Documentation) for the APC Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council in Oyo State (2023).

His recognitions include an Honorary Doctorate (DBA) in Leadership and Strategic Management (UK), Hall of Fame Award (Ibarapa Merit Awards), Excellence in Planning Profession Award, and Real Estate Consultancy Company of the Year (Nigeria Property Merit Awards).
