Afijio Assembly Hopeful Hon. Bamiduro Urges Prayers for Peace, Economic Progress in Nigeria
Ramadan: Use This Period to Pray for Peace, Economic Development, Hon. Tokunbo Bamiduro Charges Muslims
Hon. Tokunbo Bamiduro, an assembly aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Afijio State Constituency, has called on Muslims in Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State to use the sacred period of Ramadan to pray for peace, unity, and economic growth in Nigeria.
In his Ramadan message, the Afijio State Assembly hopeful emphasized the spiritual significance of the holy month, describing it as a period of deep reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to faith and humanity. He urged the Muslim faithful to take advantage of the season to seek divine intervention for the nation’s progress and stability.
According to Hon. Bamiduro, Nigeria is at a critical stage where collective prayers and moral responsibility are needed to address challenges confronting the country, particularly in the areas of economic development, national unity, and peaceful coexistence among citizens.
He further charged Muslims to pray for political and national leaders at all levels of government, asking God to grant them wisdom, integrity, and the right direction in steering the affairs of the nation.
“Ramadan is a season of mercy, forgiveness, and spiritual renewal. It is a time for us to seek Allah’s guidance for our nation, pray for peace in our communities, and support our leaders with prayers so they can lead with wisdom and fairness,” he stated.
The APC aspirant also encouraged residents of Afijio Local Government to uphold the values of love, compassion, tolerance, and generosity throughout the fasting period and beyond. He noted that these virtues are essential for building a more prosperous and united society.
Hon. Bamiduro reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Afijio State Constituency and pledged to continue supporting initiatives that promote community growth, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.
He concluded by wishing Muslims in Afijio, Oyo State, and across Nigeria a peaceful and rewarding Ramadan, urging them to remain steadfast in prayers for the progress of the nation and the well-being of its people.
