THE SARAFA ALLI/MALE JOURNALIST VIRAL VIDEO: A NARRATIVE INFLUENCED BY INSANITY.

It does appear like some individuals recruited by the opposition to discredit the All Progressives Congress, APC Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli needs to visit the psychiatrist.

I had already taken a decision on the topic for my next piece when a viral video of Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli and an innocent young Journalist was sent to me.

After going through the narrative attached by the Agents of darkness to the viral video, I asked myself, if you got a dirty job to find fault in a politician at all costs, must you allow your mental disorder to involve an innocent young student who has nothing to do with your hatchet job?

I am not surprised at the extent to which the enemies of Sarafa Alli are prepared to go to ensure that they bring him down.

However, on our part, we have decided not to join the low lives in their display of insanity.

Each time they go low, we will always take the game higher.

We know that their strength lies in the mud, so, we will always take them out of their comfort zones and engage them on the field of intellect.

Our team have done justice to the senseless narrative and presented the situation as it was.

We look forward to more of this senseless stuffs from them.

So sorry for digressing. Let’s go to the main points of interest in this piece.

I saw the story about the interview granted by my very good brother and friend, Adebayo Mutalubi Ojo SAN on Wednesday morning but I couldn’t get to settle down and read the piece until late in the evening.

I was fascinated by the headline which reads; ” Most People Hailing Makinde Will Leave Him, Oppose His Guber Candidate Before December”.

After reading the piece, I found myself agreeing totally with the opinion of the Learned Silk.

A lot of events that will eventually lead to the collapse of the Governor Seyi Makinde political empire are lined up, but, only the highly discretional minded people will see the landmines on the path before the Governor of Oyo state.

Not many people are aware of the case against the Governor Makinde faction of the Allied People’s Movement, APM, pending before the Supreme Court.

Many of those who are aware of the case are too absorbed in the frenzy of the preparations for a Local Government election which would most definitely not hold.

On Tuesday night, News broke that a case has been instituted against the conduct of the December, 2026 Local Government election.

I was having a discussion with a friend this morning and he was of the opinion that Governor Seyi Makinde would go ahead with the conduct of the Local Government election by December, regardless of the judgment of the Federal High Court.

I told him that if the Court restrains him from going ahead with the election and he does, the exercise will be in futility and the incoming Administration, which I am certain by the Grace of God Almighty, would be formed by the All Progressives Congress, APC, will be legally backed to sack the products of such an illegal election.

I have been calling the attention of those in the APM to the landmines for some time now.

A very close friend of mine who is a member of the party was offered the slot to contest for the position of Vice Chairman.

He asked for my advice on whether to accept the slot or not.

I advised him against it and I gave him two reasons. I called his attention to the case before the Supreme Court and told him that it is a worthless risk to even think of contesting for any position under a political party that is having a case in court, which result could flip things against any of the contesting sides at any time.

Secondly, I told him that there could be direct litigations against the conduct of the Local Government election because the timing is mostly inappropriate.

Obviously, he didn’t take to my advice as I eventually learned that he accepted the nomination as the Vice Chairmanship candidate.

You have to give it to Governor Seyi Makinde. To some extent, he is clever about how he had been going about, trying to tie people down within his party.

The Local Government election is one of his strategy of ensuring that his party is not empty but I do not think that he can avoid such a harsh fate as events are unfolding.

Let’s look at it from this angle. Why would Governor Makinde want to hold a Local Government election before the general election?

Couldn’t he conduct the Local Government election after the general election?

The proper thing would have been for Governor Seyi Makinde to either fix the Local Government election for a period after the general election, or, better still, leave the decision to hold the Local Government election for the incoming Administration.

However, that is a risk he couldn’t afford to take.

He needs to tie people down with something.

If he fixes the date for the conduct of the Local Government election for a period after the general election, he knows that most of those who are tied down with the ticket would not stay with him in the APM.

Secondly, he knows that once his Gubernatorial candidate loses out in the election next year, no one, not even members of his party would take him serious.

Someone told me that his plan is to conduct the election by December and after the election, he would pay off the current Chairmen and councilors and immediately swear in the product of the new election.

I told the person that even, such a trick would not avail him once a Court of competent jurisdiction rule against the conduct of the Local Government election ab initio.

Head or tails, I see no simple way out for Governor Seyi Makinde.

I will only call out to our friends who are still caught in the web called the APM to escape while they still have the time.

They are just pawns on the Chess Board of the Governor.

Only imminent disaster awaits those who are caught in that web.

The case of the APM made me remember a folksong we used to sing when playing a particular game in our younger days.

I do not really know how to translate the song in English, so, only my Yoruba readers will comprehend.

The song goes thus: ” eni oro ku mo lori ko se ba je iyan ale…”.
