Some days ago, a peace pact between all Presidential Aspirants was signed in Abuja.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state was among the very few Aspirants who did not show up for the event and no one made a noise about his absence.

I was guest on a Radio program a few days after the Olubadan of Ibadan Land led some Obas in Oyo state on a thank you visit to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Aso Rock.

The Traditional Rulers were in the Villa to thank the president for the rescue of the abducted victims at Oriire Local Government and also, for the approval granted by the president for the dualization of the Ibadan -Ijebu-Ode Road which had been flagged off today.

One of the questions put to me by the anchor of the interview was the concerns in certain quarters about whether it was proper for the Traditional Rulers to have visited the president before paying such visits to the Governor of Oyo state.

I remember telling the gentleman that no one would know if the Royal Fathers actually got in touch with the Governor and an agreement reached between the two parties before they left for Abuja.

The program anchor and some members of the public who called in during the program were so persistent, some of them, saying that it was a slight on the Governor for the Royal Fathers to have gone to thank the president in Abuja without having visited the Governor in Ibadan.

As a result of that persistent reaction by some members of the public, I decided to investigate whether the Royal Fathers actually attempted to see the Governor, or, whether they even got in touch with him before leaving for Abuja and I can boldly say that the original plan was for the Royal Fathers to meet with and thank the Governor on Wednesday before proceeding to Abuja to visit the president on the following day, been Thursday.

Unfortunately, the Governor did not provide the opportunity for the Royal Fathers to meet with him on Wednesday!

I never intended to make my findings public but since the Government of Oyo state has decided to adopt the attitude of a crying baby over every little and inconsequential matters, I deem it fit to expose their hypocrisy.

On Sunday, the 23rd of August, 2026. I listened to Agbami Oselu on Fresh FM, Ibadan.

I am not surprised that the sympathizers of Governor Seyi Makinde decided to pounce on Alhaji Abolade Salami and members of the program Panel.

They are accusing the season Broadcaster of bias. Some of them are even saying that he is using his program to propagate an agenda for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

I enjoyed their pain and cries. Infact, it made my day.

Where were they, when myself and Prince Diran Odeyemi were hounded from the same program because of our dispositions to Seyi Makinde?

They must have clapped at the time.

Where are they, when a particular Broadcaster on the same Radio station turned his Saturday programs to a market where, only, Seyi Makinde can flourish?

Governor Seyi Makinde and his sympathizers could be unnecessarily petty and fanatical.

At every provocation, you will see them crying and rolling on the floor, like a baby, whose snack was collected from him.

I have read the Press Release by Prince Dotun Oyelade regarding the alleged exclusion of Governor Seyi Makinde from the flag-off of the Ibadan -Ijebu-Ode Road which took place in Oluyole Local government of Oyo state today.

After reading through the press release, I asked myself, would Governor Seyi Makinde had attended the flag-off, even, if he had been invited?

I also asked, what injuries would Governor Seyi Makinde suffer for not being present at the flag-off?

Prince Oyelade is of the view that the alleged deliberate exclusion of Governor Seyi Makinde from the ” dualisation of the road is taken politics too far”.

So, if such an inconsequential matter is seen by Prince Dotun Oyelade, as ” taken politics too far”, what will he have to say about Governor Makinde’s absence at the signing of the peace pact in Abuja, or, was the Governor also excluded from the event?

I am so surprised that the Oyo state Government is making a mountain out of a mole hill on this trivial issue.

Until today, Governor Seyi Makinde has not deemed it fit to visit the president since the rescue of the abducted victims of Oriire Local Government.

What is that? Is it taking politics too near?

I have seen that crying and wailing about every trivial matter has become a new tactics by the Government of Oyo state.

I can not help them, but at least, I can offer them a bucket where they can store the tears and I will provide the bucket free of charge.
