Tolani Adigun Restores Abandoned Borehole at Isale-Osi Health Centre, Vows More Interventions in Ibadan Southwest I
Ibadan, Oyo State
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan Southwest Constituency I, Hon. Tolani Adigun, has restored the long-abandoned borehole at the Isale-Osi Health Centre, bringing relief to healthcare workers, patients, and residents of the community.
The intervention, which has returned clean and potable water to the facility, addresses a challenge that had persisted for several years and hindered effective healthcare service delivery at the centre.
Speaking on the project, Tolani disclosed that the deplorable condition of the borehole was brought to her attention by members of the community and staff of the health centre, prompting her immediate response.
According to her, access to water is a basic necessity, particularly in healthcare facilities where hygiene and sanitation are critical to patient care and the overall wellbeing of residents.
“For quite some time, the health centre operated without a functional water source, creating difficulties for both staff and patients. When this challenge was brought to my attention, I felt compelled to intervene. Today, by the grace of God, the borehole has been fully restored and is once again serving the people,” she said.
Tolani noted that the project reflects her commitment to responsive leadership and community-driven development, stressing that meaningful representation begins with listening to the needs of the people and taking practical steps to address them.
She further pledged to continue supporting initiatives that improve the welfare of residents across Ibadan Southwest Constituency I, particularly in critical sectors such as healthcare, education, and basic infrastructure.
The APC stalwart stated that the restoration of the Isale-Osi Health Centre borehole is only one of several interventions being planned to enhance public facilities within the constituency.
Community members and healthcare workers expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful, while urging other stakeholders to emulate such people-oriented projects.
Tolani reaffirmed her dedication to grassroots development, emphasizing that sustainable progress is achieved through consistent actions and collective effort.
“Together, we will continue to make progress, one step at a time,” she added.
