Emperor Idogbe Congratulates Odebunmi on APC Primary Victory
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Emperor Idogbe Matthew Adewale, has congratulated Hon. Segun Odebunmi on his victory at the APC primary election as the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing OgoOluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, Adewale described Odebunmi’s emergence as a well-deserved victory and a significant development for both the constituency and the APC family.
According to him, Odebunmi’s legislative experience, political maturity, and commitment to grassroots development remain valuable assets that will strengthen effective representation and bring meaningful progress to the people of OgoOluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency.
Adewale, who had earlier shown interest in contesting for the same position, disclosed that he decided to step aside following Odebunmi’s declaration of interest in the race.
He said the decision was borne out of loyalty, respect, and the collective interest of the party, noting that unity, experience, and strategic leadership are crucial at the present political moment.
“As a loyal party member and political son, I am proud to stand in solidarity with Hon. Segun Odebunmi (BUNVIC) and fully support his candidacy in the interest of the APC and the people of OgoOluwa/Surulere Federal Constituency,” he stated.
Adewale also appealed to APC leaders, stakeholders, youths, and supporters across the constituency to remain united and committed towards ensuring victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.
He urged party faithful to strengthen internal unity, mobilize support at the grassroots, and work collectively towards displacing the opposition through peaceful engagement and purposeful political participation.
“Once again, congratulations to our distinguished leader, Hon. Segun Odebunmi (BUNVIC). May this victory mark the beginning of greater achievements for our constituency and the good people we all seek to serve,” he added.
