APC Screening Committee Screens Wasiu Ajao ‘Danladi’, Unveils Agenda for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency
Aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdul Wasiu Danladi Ajao, has successfully appeared before the screening committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Following the screening exercise, the aspirant unveiled his agenda and development blueprint for the people of Akinyele and Lagelu Local Government Areas, promising purposeful representation, grassroots development, and people-oriented leadership if elected into office.
Speaking after the exercise, Ajao stated that his ambition is driven by a desire to bring government closer to the people and improve the living conditions across communities within the constituency.
According to him, youth and women empowerment would remain one of the key priorities of his administration. He pledged to promote entrepreneurship, support job creation initiatives, and facilitate vocational training programmes aimed at reducing unemployment among young people and women.
He also promised to support educational and career advancement programmes, provide opportunities for small businesses and startups, and facilitate access to grants and empowerment initiatives capable of improving livelihoods across the constituency.
On infrastructure, the APC aspirant stressed the need for improved rural road networks, noting that better roads would ease transportation challenges, enhance movement of agricultural produce, and stimulate economic growth in rural communities.
“A good road network will connect our people to opportunities and strengthen local commerce,” he said.
Ajao further highlighted agriculture and agribusiness as major pillars of his proposed legislative agenda, pledging to advocate for policies and programmes that would support farmers with modern farming tools, promote food security, and attract investment into the agricultural value chain.
He added that he would work towards creating partnerships capable of benefiting local farmers and agro-processors across Akinyele and Lagelu Federal Constituency.
On security, the aspirant promised to advocate for effective community policing initiatives and collaborate with security agencies and traditional leaders to ensure peace and stability across the constituency.
He also pledged support for bills and programmes aimed at strengthening intelligence gathering and crime prevention.
Speaking on education, healthcare, and infrastructural development, Ajao assured constituents that he would support the rehabilitation of primary schools, improvement of healthcare facilities, and execution of community-based development projects across both local government areas.
The House of Representatives hopeful also promised to maintain an open-door policy and remain accessible and accountable to the people at all times.
He called on party members and residents of the constituency to support his aspiration, assuring them of quality representation and inclusive governance.
