Afijio 2027: UK Supporters Host Tokunbo Bamiduro, Endorse Him for State Assembly

Hon. Tokunbo Bamiduro’s aspiration to represent Afijio State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly received a significant boost over the weekend as the Friends of Tokunbo Bamiduro – United Kingdom Branch hosted him to a dinner in the UK and formally endorsed his 2027 ambition.
The event, attended by Afijio indigenes and supporters in the diaspora, served as both a reception and a strategic engagement session where Bamiduro outlined his vision for a more prosperous Afijio. He emphasized youth empowerment, improved rural infrastructure, better educational support, and policies that will unlock the full agricultural potential of communities such as Fiditi, Ilora, Jobele, Iware, and Awe.
Speaking at the gathering, members of the UK branch described Bamiduro as a focused and grassroots-oriented leader with a deep understanding of the needs of his people. They noted that Afijio, a largely agrarian local government with immense human and economic potential, requires proactive legislative representation to drive development and attract meaningful government interventions.
The group unanimously endorsed him for the 2027 State Assembly race, expressing confidence that his leadership would translate community aspirations into effective lawmaking and tangible development.
